Ah, that series, it has never disappointed me so far and this instalment came right up at the right moment on my TBR when the days were dark and rainy and windy.
Our Murderbot is currently on a ship to a planet where he wants to investigate the company that caused him trouble, but of course, nothing happens the way he planned. He finds himself inavertedly helping a crew of humans - and one bot - to be able to get his informations. And the bot is nothing like the bots he usually meets, it's a "pet bot". It made me think about C-3PO but much nicer. The humans, especially Don Abene, treats it like a human and the Murderbot is... jealous ? I have so much fun with the Murderbot's grumpy sense of humour and how he considers humans and robots. I loved how he loathed Don and Miki's "lovefest" ! In fact, if you left him alone on a planet just watching his series, he would be happy. Until he ran out of series. I'm ready for the next instalment !
"Then Wilken said, " There's the target." By "target", she meant her client Hirune, lying on the floor next to the foot of the staircase. (You should never refer to the clients as targets ; you don't want to get confused at the wrong moment.) (That's a joke.)"
"Miki said, "That's not good." See, that ? That is just annoying. That contributed nothing to the conversation and was just a pointless vocalization to make the humans comfortable."
I'm glad you enjoyed this book so much.
