I watched Wives and daughters miniseries, adapted from Elizabeth Gaskell's novel :

I haven't read the book yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed this adaptation (by Andrew Davies). I heard the novel was unfinished, but the series was absolutely great. Molly is a good girl, sometimes too much for her own good, but she can stand her own and be sharp sometimes, which I appreciated. The actors were very good - actors, as usual in British tv series, you probably know already from other series. The characters were also well drawn, so my eldest daughter and I spent a very good time watching it.
