#TheIrishReadathon 2020

Last month, Aoife announced her IrishReadathon for march 2020,
along with Leanne and Elaine :

If you want to participate, you can read just one book written by an Irish author, or as many as you like or, if you choose to, follow these instructions :
- a book with green on the cover
- a book under 150 pages
- a book that has won an award
- a book with a LGBT character or from a LGBT author.

I'm so happy to participate, I love Ireland, went there twice many years ago, and I love Irish literature so much among many other things.

This month, I've read :
- Edna O'Brien : Byron in love (she won a Lifetime achievement award)
- Joseph O'Connor : Shadowplay (published in 2019, with LGBT character, he's shortlisted for the Costa book award) - review coming up
- Oscar Wilde : The ballad of Reading gaol (LGBT author, under 150 pages) - review coming up
- Donal Ryan : All we shall know (LGBT character) - still reading it, review coming up soon.

I will also read then let you know how it turns out :
- Sebastian Barry : The whereabouts of Eneas McNulty
- James Joyce : Dubliners
- Jonathan Swift : A modest proposal
- Jacqueline O'Mahony : A river in the trees
- Maeve Binchy : Circle of friends (there's green on the cover)
- Mary Costello : Academy street (there were too many men in my Irish Readathon and it won the Eason novel of 2014)
