OK, this was a freebie. Do I sound defensive ? Maybe just a little.

I thought it would be light and fun and I'm not averse to some steam, but really, I do need just to be able to believe in the story a minimum.

I didn't believe in Fortuna, the way she was freaked when attracted to a guy but running away just because of that when just before, when she escaped to the "safe" house, she found herself alone with three guys who talked sex in front of her and she didn't feel uncomfortable one bit. Come on, you're in a carriage with three strangers, you don't know where you're going to and you're not scared ?! Is Fortuna dumb or what ?
I didn't believe in three guys talking that freely in front of what they supposed was a virgin.
I didn't believe in three guys being attracted to the same woman without reason and without knowing her. Giles is ready to abandon her at one time then he's coming back to save her the next, but he doesn't know why.

Oh well, I just didn't believe anything at all ! It was so ridiculous and unlikely that I gave up before I harmed my Kindle, the supposed "steam" was unnerving me. If you want to read porn, just say it's porn but don't pretend there's a story, nobody will be disappointed then.
It's funny though because I think I really enjoyed one other book by that author. But the real mystery is why this book got so many good reviews on Goodreads !
